UP Weather Forecast: As the monsoon retreats from North India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain activity in Uttar Pradesh for two days, Thursday and Friday amid low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. The showers are expected to be heavier in some areas.
As per jagran.com, meteorologist TB Singh said that due to the influence of the low pressure area, rain is forecast on Thursday and Friday. Light rain is possible on Thursday, and heavy rainfall is likely in some places on Friday.
The maximum temperature recorded in the past 24 hours was 35.9 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 26.4 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees above normal.
During this period, the maximum humidity was 94 per cent. The city recorded 1.2 mm of rain in the afternoon on Wednesday.
The meteorologist added that the monsoon withdrawal line is currently passing through Rampur, Haridwar, Moradabad, Etawah, Banswara, Vallabh Vidyanagar, and Veraval. This means that the monsoon withdrawal process will accelerate in the coming days, including in eastern Uttar Pradesh and other regions.
In another update, a warning has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Kishanganj, Nawada, Banka, and Katihar districts of Bihar for the next three days. On Thursday, the weather in Patna and other districts of the state will remain normal, but above-normal temperatures are expected. During the past 24 hours, Rafiganj in Aurangabad recorded the highest rainfall of 60 mm.
