Uttar Pradesh: A 27-year-old woman tragically died while attempting to recreate a hanging scene in front of her four-year-old daughter, whom she had instructed to record the act for a social media reel, in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred on Friday in Baberu town, where Mohini lost her life while trying to stage the hanging scene for a reel on social media.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the woman was attempting to enact a hanging scene but lost consciousness during the act, ultimately leading to her death. Her body has been sent for autopsy.
A search of Mohini’s mobile phone revealed that she had frequently searched for hanging-related content on Google and Facebook.

Her four-year-old daughter, who was present at the scene, told police that her mother had asked her to record a video of the act. Mohini's husband, Jagdish, confirmed his daughter’s account, stating that his wife had handed over her mobile phone to their daughter and used a saree to fashion a noose while attempting to film the reel.
As she became unconscious, the child began crying, alerting the neighbours, who rushed to the spot and brought her down.
Mohini was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead, the officer said.
