The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) has brought a special app for smart meter consumers. This "UPPCL Smart App" will resolve all electricity-related problems of consumers. After downloading it on their mobile, consumers can view daily electricity consumption readings as well as the balance of the recharged amount. Moreover, electricity consumers do not need to go to the electricity office or counter for the solution to any electricity-related problem because all facilities are available on this app.

Through this app, electricity consumers can view information regarding regular electricity consumption. The facility to recharge the meter is also available in this UPPCL Smart App. If the electricity goes out for any reason, a complaint can also be registered through this app. The most special thing is that if you want to get your home electricity connection disconnected, you do not need to go anywhere; you can simply send your application through this app.
How To Register On UPPCL Smart App
The process of registering on the UPPCL Smart App is simple. Consumers can complete their registration according to the latest updates of 2026. First, the consumer has to download the official UPPCL Smart App from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
Select Sign-Up Option: Open the app and click on the "Login/Register" button on the home screen. After this, tap on "Sign Up" for a new account.
Enter Details: Fill in your 10-digit account number and verify it. After this, enter the mobile number that is registered with your electricity connection.
OTP Verification: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it in the designated box and click on "Verify".
Create Username And Password: After verification, create a username and password of your choice for the app. Keep these safe for logging in in the future.
Complete Registration: After filling in all the information, press the "Submit" or "Sign Up" button. After successful registration, you can log in and view your bill, smart meter balance, and consumption.

How To Recharge On UPPCL Smart App
The process to recharge your prepaid smart meter on the UPPCL Smart App, according to the updates of 2026, is as follows:
Consumers should open the app on their mobile and log in with their credentials. Upon selecting the recharge option, the current balance will be visible.
Click on the "Pay Now" or "Recharge" button to start the recharge.
Fill in details and amount.
Ensure your consumer number (account number) is correct.
Then enter the amount you want to recharge.
Select Payment Gateway: After this, click on "Proceed to Pay".
You will get several payment options like: UPI or QR: The easiest way (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, etc.), Debit or Credit Card or Net Banking.

Sushil Kumar Garg, Chief Engineer, Gomti Nagar Zone, stated that the UPPCL Smart App is very beneficial. Four employees have been deployed for smart app registration and the resolution of bill-related problems. In Gomti Nagar Zone, thousands have registered on the UPPCL Smart App so far. Also, most consumers of the zone have received the verification code (OTP). Meanwhile, Assistant Engineers and JEs have been deployed for WhatsApp and social media in Gomti Nagar Zone. They are creating awareness about smart meters and the smart app.
Note: According to the rules of 2026, electricity can be cut automatically if the smart meter balance is negative, so keep checking your consumption and balance regularly on the app. For any technical problem, consumers can also use UPPCL's official portal or the UPPCL Smart App.
