In a move to strengthen security infrastructure, the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force (UPSSF) will be deployed at Rapid-Metro (RRTS) stations. To prepare for this assignment, a specialised one-day training session was organised at Shobhit University for the designated officers and personnel.
Training Objectives And Scope
Dr Abhishek Dabas, media in-charge at Shobhit University, stated that the session was conducted based on a directive from the Uttar Pradesh government. The training involved:
Participants: Over 100 officers from the 5th Battalion of UPSSF (Saharanpur) and the 4th unit of the RRTS.
Goal: To equip officers with essential skills regarding crowd management, communication, and courteous behavior.
Focus: The curriculum focused on ensuring a safe, disciplined, and respectful experience for passengers while teaching staff how to act with courage during difficult situations.
Expert Guidance On Behavioral Management
The keynote speakers for the session were Dr Poonam Devdutt, Director of the Centre for Psychology and Human Behaviour Studies, and Prof ML Singla, a university advisor.
The experts emphasised that security arrangements are strengthened not just by force, but by the patient, restrained, and sensitive behavior of personnel. Key takeaways included:

- Maintaining harmony and discipline while upholding security protocols.
- Creating a cooperative atmosphere through welcoming and positive behavior toward passengers to increase public confidence.
Conclusion And Dignitaries
The session concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants. Several senior officials were present at the event, including Deputy Commandant Dr Krishna Gopal, Assistant Commandant Rajeev Yadav, Dr Ashok Gupta and Dr Ganesh Bhardwaj.
