UP New Year Liquor Shop Timing: The Uttar Pradesh Excise Department has announced to extend the closing hours for all retail liquor shops in Saharanpur by one hour for four specific days, on December 24, 25, 30 and 31. This announcement aims to cater to high consumer demand and manage the holiday rush smoothly.

According to the order issued by the Excise Commissioner’s office, liquor shops that usually close at 10 PM will remain open for an hour longer on December 24 and 25 (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), as well as December 30 and 31 (New Year's Eve and New Year's Day), Jagran.com reported.

Revised Liquor Shop Timing In Saharanpur

In view of the upcoming Christmas and New Year festivities, the Uttar Pradesh Excise Commissioner Dr Adarsh Singh issued a notification extending the operating hours of liquor stores in Saharanpur.

While the liquor shops usually close at 10 PM, they will now remain open until 11:00 PM on four dates: December 24 and 25 for Christmas, and December 30 and 31 for New Year’s celebrations.

According to a report by Navbharat Times, Lucknow Excise Officer stated the decision addresses increased consumer demand during the festive season, while also providing a significant boost to state revenue.

With New Year preparations already in full swing at homes, hotels, and clubs, the extra hour is expected to boost liquor sales and cater to high consumer demand.
