Uttar Pradesh: Following the two successful mock drills, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) is set to officially launch its Lucknow Darshan electric double-decker bus service on January 7.

The announcement follows a morning tour trial on January 3 and an evening tour rehearsal on January 4. The initiative aims to offer both residents and tourists an eco-friendly way to explore the city’s landmarks while reducing the carbon footprint.

Successful Route Trials Of Double-Decker Bus Service For Lucknow Darshan

- The Lucknow Darshan electric double-decker bus service navigated through the city's most iconic landmarks. The journey began with a major stop at Vidhan Sabha Bhawan and continued via Kothi Hayat Bakhsh, Raj Bhavan, and the GPO, Jagran.com reported.

- The morning mock drill was attended by officials from the Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Forest, and Roadways departments, alongside representatives from the Municipal Corporation and the travel industry.

- The evening mock drill began at 4 PM, with 45 participants from the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, Transport Department and other guests.

- Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated that the recent mock drills were a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing operational logistics and improving the overall passenger experience, Jagran.com reported.

Lucknow Darshan On Electric Double-Decker Bus Service: Check Details

- Starting January 7, both residents and tourists will be able to explore the city’s landmarks on electric double-decker buses.

- Passengers will be provided with light refreshments during their journey.

- To encourage participation, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) will offer a 10 per cent discount on ticket bookings until January 31.
