Noida Police Encounter: Noida Police on Saturday arrested a wanted criminal after a brief encounter near Sector 92. When the personnel of Noida Phase 2 police station conducted a check near Sector 92 this morning, they spotted a suspect on a bike. Police signalled the bike rider to stop, but he escaped and started running towards the NSEZ. Police chased after he attempted to flee.

After going some distance, his bike slipped. The goon fired at the police to escape. In the retaliatory action, the police opened fire at him, and the miscreant was injured after a bullet hit his leg. Police took him to the hospital. Pistol, cartridges, stolen bike were recovered from him.

The criminal was identified as Faizan, a resident of Sarai Mohalla of Mainpuri Kuravali, Uttar Pradesh. Four cases, including theft, liquor smuggling and Arms Act are registered against him.

According to police, Faizan has been committing crimes since 2019. The first case of theft was registered in Mainpuri.

Noida Police Arrests 12 Miscreants In Five Encounters

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Noida Police said as many as 12 miscreants have been arrested in separate encounters by city cops in the past 48 hours. During these encounters, six of them were injured in the encounters and have been admitted to hospitals, they added.

Police said that they have recovered a car, bike, pistol, cartridges, cash and other items from the miscreants. Giving details about the arrests, police said that Dankaur police station apprehended two alleged criminals, Pankaj and Satbir, during an encounter on Thursday morning.

Multiple cases of robbery, murder and theft are registered against them, they said. Similarly, a team from Sector 39 police station arrested Sumit alias Billa after an encounter late on Wednesday night. Billa sustained a bullet injury in his leg in the encounter. There were four other miscreants Praveen alias Shooter, Kovid, Anupam alias Chikna and Shahnawaz alias Nannu with him who tried to flee from the spot during the encounter.
