Uttar Pradesh: The intense snowfall in the mountains has started to affect the weather of the plains. In Kashmir, several areas lodged sub-zero temperatures on Monday. Pahalgam shivered at minus 4.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature dropped to 2.6 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very dense fog in several parts of Uttar Pradesh in the next few days.

Dense fog engulfed Agra on Monday. Commuters also faced difficulties in Meerut and Shamli due to the low visibility caused by fog. Agra lodged a drop of 1.8 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature on Sunday. The temperature in the coming week is likely to remain stable, however, dense fog will continue to engulf the city.
