Uttar Pradesh: Woman Kills Her 2 Daughters, Dies By Suicide After Dispute With Mother-In-Law

A woman died by suicide after killing her two daughters following an altercation with her mother-in-law in the Gangoh area in Uttar Pradesh. During a furious disagreement with her mother-in-law, 26-year-old Mamta poisoned her three kids, Archi (5 years old), Sona (3 years old) and Arvi (2 years old), and later consumed it herself.

According to Additional SP (Rural) Sagar Jain, the four were taken to the hospital, where Mamta and her daughters Archi and Arvi passed away while receiving care, while Sona's condition is described as steady. The police claimed they have started the investigation and are further investigating the reason.

In another tragic incident of murder-suicide, a woman from Bansilalpet, Secunderabad, killed her twin children and later died by suicide after a fight over dowry on June 19. The woman, identified as Soundarya, killed her twin children, Nitya and Nidarsh, by pushing them from the eighth floor of a multistory 2BHK apartment complex in Bansilalpet, Secunderabad. Later, the woman died by suicide by jumping from the same building.

Under the impact of the fall, all three victims suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot. The woman is suspected to have taken the extreme measure due to dowry harassment from her husband and in-law.
