The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region is rapidly emerging as a national hub for the semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing and healthcare sectors, driven by industry-friendly policies and swift decision-making under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Large-scale investments worth thousands of crores are paving the way for extensive employment opportunities for youth.
As part of its industrial push for 2025-26, YEIDA has taken several concrete steps to accelerate industrialisation. The authority has allotted land to more than 65 industrial units. On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over land allotment letters to several companies for setting up industrial units and a medical college in the YEIDA area.
Under YEIDA’s industrial scheme, around 2.32 lakh square metres of land has been allotted to 28 industrial units, involving an investment of about Rs 1,332 crore and generating employment for 8,783 people. Additionally, through the e-auction scheme, 1 lakh square metres of land has been allotted to 37 units, attracting investments of Rs 500 crore and creating 4,800 jobs.
Through letters of comfort (LOCs) issued by Invest UP and government departments, nearly 18.77 lakh square metres of land have been allotted to nine major industrial units. These projects are expected to bring investments of approximately Rs 21,128 crore and create employment for over 18,000 youth.
During the event, the Chief Minister also presented land allotment letters to four major companies. India Chip Private Limited was allotted 48 acres, Ascent Circuits Pvt. Ltd. received 16 acres in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Sector-10, and Amber Enterprises India Ltd. was allotted 100 acres in Sector-08. These three projects alone are expected to attract investments exceeding Rs 10,500 crore and generate thousands of jobs, particularly in the semiconductor and electronics sectors.
Alongside industrial development, a significant step has been taken to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region. Bodhisattva Charitable Trust has been allotted 20.50 acres of land in Sector-17A for setting up a medical college, with a proposed investment of Rs 532.18 crore. The project is expected to enhance medical education and advanced healthcare services in the Yamuna Expressway region.
