YEIDA Board Meeting Today: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced its 85th board meeting, scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting, to be presided over by the Principal Secretary of the development authority and Chairman Alok Kumar, will discuss the leaseback and population shift of farmers in the region.

The YEIDA is making progress in acquiring land for key projects, including the Multi-Model Logistics Park in Aligarh and the Heritage City Project in Mathura. To alleviate the burden on allottees, YEIDA plans to introduce a one-time settlement scheme. The authority will seek board permission to waive the penal interest on outstanding additional compensation amounts.

All categories of allottees, including residential, institutional, industrial, and group housing, will benefit from this scheme. The exemption from penal interest aims to provide relief to those who have failed to deposit outstanding amounts on time.

The authority has prepared a proposal to address the long-pending demands of farmers regarding leaseback and shifting cases. After board approval, these cases will be resolved, providing relief to affected farmers.

A plan for over 8,000 plots, each measuring 30 square meters, will be presented to the board for approval. This scheme, aimed at benefiting street vendors and factory workers, was previously postponed due to a lack of board approval.
