Preparations for the Ardh Kumbh 2027 have intensified in Haridwar, with the Kumbh complex, the main administrative building of the Kumbh Mela, being renovated at the of Rs 3.47 crore. The building will be used as a control room to make it easier for officials to make on-the-spot decisions and to monitor activities. 

Along with this, the main administrative building will house the offices of various departments, a control room, an emergency management centre, and the office of the administrative officer. Real-time monitoring will also be conducted from the main administrative building.

Under the initiative, CCTV, a public address system, and a digital monitoring system will be installed in the building's control room to facilitate cooperation and coordination between all departments. The renovation of the building will include building repairs, electrical upgrades, solar panel support, a smart monitoring system, a fire alarm, and the installation of a digital signalling system. 

To maintain a smooth supply of drinking water, overhead tanks with a capacity of 1500 kilolitres, two tube wells, and a pump house will be constructed in Bairagi Camp, with an estimated cost of this work set at Rs 3.65 crore. The project will play an important role in providing clean drinking water to hundreds of thousands of devotees during the fair. 

The work of reconstructing and strengthening the ghats will also be undertaken. Construction and beautification of ghats will take place in the Amrapur, Rishikul, Satnam Sakshi Ghat, and Upper Ganga Canal areas. Newly constructed steps, railings, lighting, and CCTV cameras will be installed at the ghats to ensure the safety of devotees.

The work of widening the road from Bahadrabad to Shivalik Nagar will be carried out. Meanwhile, there are also preparations to repair and improve the Dhanori-Sidcul road to reduce traffic jams and accidents.
