The Central government has reopened the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) application website for eligible beneficiaries living below the poverty line. The portal, which had been closed since March 2024, is now active after 19 months, enabling consumers without an LPG connection to apply for benefits.

According to officials, around 54,000 families in Dehradun district are currently availing benefits under the scheme. The renewed application process can be completed through Common Service Centres (CSCs), and applicants have been advised to ensure the timely submission of all required documents.
