Sedan Cars In India: The Indian car market is growing rapidly, and currently, the industry is witnessing a surge in demand for SUVs. The hatchback segment remains in second position in terms of sales and demand, and the Sedan segment in the country is shrinking. In October 2025, only one Sedan car managed to make it to the top 10 best-selling cars. While the market share of Sedan cars is shrinking, it still offers a variety of products. Skoda Slavia
The Skoda Slavia was introduced in India in 2022 as a replacement for the Skoda Rapid, and it has remained a popular Sedan ever since. In October 2025, Slavia recorded 0.67 per cent year-on-year growth, and a total of 1,648 units of the Sedan were sold in he country. The Skoda Slavia is currently priced between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Volkswagen Virtus
The Volkswagen Virtus is the sister car of the Skoda Slavia, and both of these cars share the same platform. A total of 2,453 units of the Volkswagen Virtus were sold in October 2025, and the Sedan by German car manufacturer recorded a 4.34 per cent year-on-year. The Virtus is priced between Rs 11.16 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 18.73 lakh (ex-showroom).

Honda Amaze
The Honda Amaze was introduced in 2013, and it has remained a popular compact sedan in the Indian market ever since. A total of 3,630 units of the Honda Amaze were sold in October 2025, and the sedan recorded a 51.69 per cent year-on-year growth. The Honda Amaze is priced between Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Hyundai Aura
The Hyundai Aura was introduced in 2020, and it has remained a popular compact sedan ever since. A total of 5,815 units of the Hyundai Aura were sold in October 2025, and the compact sedan recorded a 21.02 per cent year-on-year growth. The Hyundai Aura is currently priced between Rs 5.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the only sedan which managed to reach the top 10 bestselling cars in October 2025. A total of 20,791 units of the Maruti Dzire were sold in October 2025, and the compact sedan by Maruti recorded a 63.73 per cent year-on-year growth. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is priced between Rs 6.26 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.04 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country.
