During the meeting, it was reported that the corporation had earlier purchased 100 buses for Rs 35.35 crore, saving approximately Rs 2.76 crore due to a change in GST rates. Tata has now agreed to provide nine additional buses by adding Rs 17 lakh, bringing the total purchase for hilly routes to 109 buses, with deliveries already underway.

The board also discussed proposals for mortgaging assets to fund bus purchases, stipulating that any such proposal must receive prior board approval. The corporation presented its 2024-25 balance sheet, revealing a loss of Rs 46 crore compared to the previous year. In response, the board directed management to take effective measures to increase revenue.
