Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday virtually inaugurated helicopter services on the Pithoragarh-Munsyari-Pithoragarh and Haldwani-Almora-Haldwani routes under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN).

Dhami said the new services would ease travel for citizens in remote areas and boost tourism in Uttarakhand. Highlighting the cultural and historical importance of Almora and Munsyari, he said the towns attract visitors from across the world for their scenic beauty, ancient temples, and rich heritage. With helicopter connectivity, travel time between Haldwani and Almora will be reduced from 3-4 hours to just minutes.
