Uttarakhand DA Hike: As a Diwali gift to the people of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government has announced a three per cent increase in dearness allowance (DA), along with an ad-hoc bonus on Wednesday. State employees are now expected to get 58 per cent dearness allowance instead of 53 per cent from July 1, 2025. This revised DA slab is expected to increase the salaries of the state employees anywhere between Rs 900 and Rs 6000 per month.
The increased allowance will be disbursed along with the salary from November 1, as reported by Jagran.com. The deficit incurred due to the revised DA slab between July 1 to October 1 will be paid out in cash to all the employees. Additionally, employees with a base salary of Rs 4800 will be given an additional Rs 6908 as an ad-hoc bonus.
Separate orders are also expected to be passed to increase the dearness allowance for High Court judges, the chairman, members of the State Public Service Commission and public sector employees.

Diwali Ad-Hoc Bonus
The state Finance Department has also issued orders to give an ad-hoc Diwali bonus of Rs 6908 to the employees for employees with basic salaries up to Rs 4800. Considering the maximum limit of ad hoc bonus as Rs 7000, a maximum bonus of Rs 6908 for 30 days will be given to the days.

Who Are Eligible For This Bonus?
The ad-hoc Diwali bonus will be given to those employees who were in service on March 31, 2025. Employees need to have a minimum of six months of service record to be eligible for the bonus. Those who have a service record between six months to one year will be given the bonus as per their service ratio.
The Diwali bonus also extends to those who are engaged in the unorganised sector. Daily wage workers who have found work for a minimum of 240 days every year in the last three years will be eligible for a bonus of Rs 1184.
