There was hardly a ‘Govinda movie’ where the actor did not ‘serve’. The man and his comic timings were no less than a gold mine for every project that he did, where the genre was all about comedy and chaos. With that being clear, one can only imagine the reaction actor Govinda’s fans gave soon after realising how he accidentally sustained a bullet injury in his leg with his own revolver. Apart from the obvious worries over the actor’s safety, people were quick to jump into their ‘Govinda mode’ after the news of him being safe was confirmed. Coming to the incident, it reportedly took place today, October 01, when the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata from his Juhu residence in Mumbai.

Govinda was then rushed to a Mumbai hospital, where the bullet was successfully removed. As per reports, his manager further confirmed his ‘stable condition’. Opening up about the incident, his manager, Shashi Sinha, further clarified that the revolver accidentally fell from the actor’s hand, resulting in a misfire. Govinda was reportedly supposed to catch a 6 AM flight to Kolkata, where he was all set to attend a show. No case or FIR has been registered in the matter so far, as per reports.

“Govinda,” a user said.

“Bullets are fired from the eyes, but sometimes the bullet hits even from one's own revolver,” added a fourth user.

The actor later thanked his fans and family members for their support, where his statement was quick to go viral on social media. The actor shared his statement in a voice note, which was shared by news agency PTI. 

“Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda, aap sab logon ke aashirwad aur maa-baap ka aashirwad, guru ki kripa ke wajah se goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyavad deta hoon yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Agarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyavad, pranaam (I am Govinda. Thanks to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Agarwal, and I appreciate all your prayers),” the actor was heard saying.
