Viral Video: Amid reports of multiple flight cancellations by the Air India Express, a troubling video came forward which further highlighted the issues the airline is facing with its disappointed passengers. The incident unfolded at the Delhi Airport, where passengers were seen indulging in a heated exchange with the ground staff over last-moment flight cancellations. The flights in question, as per the post, were scheduled to Goa, Guwahati, and Srinagar. Moreover, the airline reportedly refused to provide alternatives despite the last-minute change. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.
Reportedly, Air India Express cancelled more than 70 flights from last night, May 07 to May 08. As per news agency ANI, the cancellations were triggered over mass ‘sick leave’ by the airline’s senior crew members.
The video, soon after being shared, went viral and left people reacting. Some speculated the possible reasons for the cancellations, while the rest narrated their own stories where they faced similar issues. Many also chastised the airline for not providing alternative options.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Delhi Airport Kalesh (Air India Express cancelled 3 flights to Goa, Guwahati, and Srinagar last moment and refused to provide any alternatives. So, Kalesh ensued).”

The video was shared today and pulled 80K views from people. Taking to the comment section, people shared their take.
“New kalesh and new day,” a user said. “It must have been cancelled considering the weather. Will there be any problem? There is no need to panic about it,” a user said. “Flight cancellations without consideration for passengers urgency are a real problem. They should offer other options or tell people earlier so they can make other plans.Cancelling at the last moment causes a lot of trouble,” added a third person.
“There is absolutely no accountability in India at all. No wonder the people are enraged all the time,” wrote a fourth person. “I stopped flying this airline after a few travels that were always rescheduled by AIX. An airline you can't trust,” added a fifth person. “The problem is lying within the system for such kalesh. I had a flight to Munich which got delayed and I got 600 euros back without any kalesh since the system in Europe says if your flight got delayed by certain hours then you get a certain amount. Simple and no kalesh,” added another.
