Indian Railway Viral Video: A viral video from the Hemkunt Express has shocked social media, showing travel vlogger Vishal Sharma being assaulted after he raised a complaint about overcharging by pantry staff. During his journey from Rishikesh to Katra on May 6, Sharma was charged Rs 20 for coffee (actual price Rs 10), Rs 50 for noodles (actual price Rs 40), and given a non-Rail Neer bottle for Rs 20, instead of the standard Rs 15 Rail Neer.

When he asked about the price difference, the vendor casually said, “Yahi mila hai, Sir.” Sharma filed a complaint using the RailMadad app, but later that night, he was attacked while sleeping on his upper berth. A man in green approached him and aggressively said, “Neeche aao. Neeche aao bula rahe hain.” When Sharma resisted, the man dragged him down, hit him, and tore his clothes, part of which he recorded on video.

Sharing the incident online, Sharma wrote, “When I complained about overcharging in the Train by the Pantry, an attempt was made to kill me.” The clip gained massive attention, prompting a quick response from railway officials. Railway Seva replied: “The case is being taken with utmost seriousness. A penalty of Rs 5 lakh has been imposed on the caterer. An FIR has been lodged by the GRP, Kathua. The matter remains under strict watch. Stern action will follow based on the investigation outcome.”

The now-viral video was shared by Sharma on his YouTube channels as well as on X (Formerly Twitter). The video, after being shared, garnered almost 4 million views from people. Many social media users flooded the comment section with reactions. One user wrote, "Bhai, this is horrible. File a FIR and speak to a lawyer asap. Hope you are safe. This is truly shocking, koi aaya nai madad karne?" "This vendor's license should be cancelled," a second user added.

"What a shameful act? Open gunda giri, threatening, abusing, and attacking to kill the passenger is clearly seen. Is this the safety where railway staff directly jump to the passenger seat and punch him?" added a third user. "Please take Strict action against all the vendors who were there, really very shameful," a fourth user added. "This is so scary. Immediate arrest and harsh punishment for each involved... Suspension of the Contractor's licence," added another user.
