Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently watched Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer with his daughter donning a dress code based on the film’s theme. Trudeau said that it was a balancing act as earlier, he along with his son watched Greta Gerwig’s Barbie on August 7. 

Taking to social media, Trudeau shared pictures from his recent outings.  In the pictures, the Canadian PM was seen donning black clothes, based on the film's theme. The posts were shared on the PM's official handle on the social media site X (formerly Twitter).

The first X post was shared on August 7, with the caption, "We’re team Barbie." The post included a picture of the PM with his son. The duo was up to watch Greta Gerwig's Barbie. They went for pink attire to match the film's theme.

The second post was shared eleven hours ago, with the caption, "Balancing things out: Oppenheimer with Ella." The PM was out with his daughter to watch Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.

Both the X posts went viral as most of the netizens loved the idea of the PM watching both movies. Taking to the comment section, the people shared their views.

“I gotta say, nice work Sir. It's cool that you posted these 2 pics of going to movies with your son and daughter. That is all,” a user said. “Respect my family’s privacy!” said a second. “LOL nice You seem like a good dad,” added a third person. “You look very rejuvenated and happy,” said a fourth. “Beautiful,” joined fifth.

Gerwig's Barbie and Nolan's Oppenheimer were two of the most anticipated films this year. Based on their different themes, the fandom was heavily divided before the release of the movies. Both movies were released on the same day, July 21, which further divided the fandom. Meanwhile, the people who happily watched both movies termed the trend ‘Barbenheimer’.
