Despite being made of severely ripped and distressed fabric and resembling something from a fight scene in a movie, the jacket is being sold for an outrageous $950 (roughly Rs 84,000).

Despite the shock value and memes flooding social media, the first batch of this 'Destroyed' jacket reportedly sold out within just 24 hours. Shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle '@Rainmaker1973' went viral in no time, sparking heated debates about the new wave of 'broken yet bold' fashion.

Love it or hate it, Balenciaga surely knows how to turn controversy into conversation and once again, it’s got the world talking about what fashion really means today.

The video received many comments from users. While some users found it absurd, others hailed Balenciaga for once again redefining what luxury means in 2025. "Stealing from homeless people and then selling their clothes for $950 is a crazy business model," a user wrote.
