During the Tech Roast Show, a Bengaluru-based product designer, sitting quietly in the crowd, was asked about her worst job experience. What she shared next stunned the room and has since caused a stir on social media.

Years ago, while working in Mumbai, this woman faced something no employee should ever go through. On her last day at that job, her manager gave her a task. She got a bit confused and ended up working on something else. What happened next was shocking. In her words: “On my last day, he asked me to make some plan which I got confused about and did something else. He got so pissed that he took the mouse and threw it on my face.”

Yes, a computer mouse, thrown in anger, at her face. This wasn't just an outburst; it was workplace violence. As she recalled the incident, the comedians on stage, Austin Nasso, Jesse Warren, and Nikita Oster, were visibly shocked. One of them even asked, “He threw a mouse at you? Like a computer mouse or a live mouse?

The clip from that show, though recorded last year, has recently gone viral after being posted on Instagram. Viewers across the internet are expressing anger and disbelief at the manager’s behaviour, calling out the deep-rooted issue of toxic work culture.

The video shared on Instagram by the official handle 'techroastshow' just a day ago pulled 296k views from people. "This should not be normalised, not even as a joke," a user wrote. "Well, at least I won a T-shirt in the end. 5 years later, the torture has paid off," a second user wrote.
