Bengaluru Woman Viral Post: A Bengaluru woman recently shared her unsettling experience at Anand Sweets & Savouries in Koramangala, where she claims to have discovered a hidden mobile phone in the women’s washroom. The incident happened on April 25, around 8 pm, when she visited the washroom on the first floor of the popular eatery.

Upon entering the washroom, she noticed that the wall in front of the toilet had an unusual fiberglass panel with wooden slats at eye level. Curious, she crouched down to inspect and was shocked to find a mobile phone placed on the other side of the slats. When the phone moved, she realized that someone might be secretly recording her.

Distressed by the discovery, she quickly alerted her friend and confronted the restaurant staff. Though the staff initially hesitated to take action, she insisted on reviewing the CCTV footage. The footage revealed a security guard entering a restricted area and later showing another employee exiting through the back door. By 9:10 pm, the police were involved, and the accused individual was reportedly taken into custody.

Two days later, the woman had a meeting with the regional director, who, according to her, downplayed her emotional distress and blamed a third-party agency for employing the accused. She also claimed that the director tried to block the door to prevent her from leaving and even kept her friend back in an attempt to calm her down.

The following day, the Internal Complaints Committee of Adityavani reached out to her for a meeting at the same restaurant. However, due to ongoing emotional distress, she declined the meeting. In her post, the woman urged others to stay vigilant and not let such incidents be swept under the rug due to societal pressure or systemic issues.

The viral post was shared on Instagram by the handle 'itskrithu.' The post shared three days ago was captioned, " On April 25th, I was recorded inside a washroom at a trusted, popular place I’ve visited since childhood. What followed was a nightmare—panic, police, confessions, and emotional manipulation. They told me to stay quiet ‘for my business’ and to ‘move on.’ But I refused. Because silence protects predators. To every woman out there: you're not paranoid for checking. You're not overreacting for speaking up. You're powerful. And you deserve safety—even in a washroom.'

Since being shared, it has received significant likes and comments from people. One user wrote, "Images of other women alongside his baby's photo - this gave me chills, and so did the fact that we still find excuses to brush such incidents off. This man's wife, her sister, the kid, and everyone who is his, won't it haunt them? Doesn't it haunt this man? When did we humans become this? Or were we always like this? Since Draupadi, since Sita, since the time we existed." "Thank you for sharing your story with the world. I am sure it was not an easy decision. Sending you loads of strength to endure all that you are going through. You are not at fault for taking a stand on what happened. More power to you," a second user added.

"What you did was right. No one should have to take this kind of insolence quietly. I don't know you, but you are every woman who goes through this disgusting ritual of being asked to let go and move on from the heinous acts of perpetrators," added a third user. "I’m so sorry you had to go through this, but also so proud of you for speaking up and taking a stand for yourself and for every other girl out there! Stay strong, you’ve got this," added another user.
