From police officers and actors to netizens across the nation, there is almost no category left that does not use Instagram reels. The term ‘reelers’, in fact, has become more common in the last couple of years. However, incidents of people making these reels on the most inappropriate occasions, places and situations have also witnessed a rapid rise. Doing the same, a woman constable from Bihar’s Gaya decided to make a reel and share it on her Instagram handle. The constable in question, Khusboo Kumari, went viral in no time after her reel was shared on the internet. However, the reason behind the virality had nothing to do with an attention-grabbing dance or act but was rather an ‘offense’.
The said reel, in actuality, was made inside the Mahabodhi temple, as per the reports. What gained further criticism was that the constable reportedly did the act when the temple was under high security. The UNESCO World Heritage site was also visited by Dalai Lama, the Tibetan religious leader, due to which the matter became more serious. Apart from that, phones are also banned inside the temple.
As soon as the matter went viral, the police were quick to take action. Reportedly, an investigation was conducted on the incident after it came under the notice of the authorities. Bringing justice to the constable’s actions, she was then suspended by the police.
The reel also triggered the netizens who left comments on the matter. The woman was accompanied by another woman constable while making the inappropriate video. Most dubbed it ‘unprofessional’, while some even demanded to prohibit the use of such platforms during duty hours. The constable was seen dancing to the song ‘O Meri Jaan, Hey O Meri Jaan’ in the video.
