Diwali 2025 Viral Video: Imagine stepping out of your house and finding someone sitting outside, lighting diyas with the message, 'This Diwali be my patakha.' Sounds like a movie scene, right? But for one woman, this actually happened and she’s not sure whether to call it romantic or just plain creepy. A user who goes by @teawithshweta on X (formerly Twitter) shared a now-viral video showing a 'random college dude' decorating the pavement right outside her home with diyas. The message he wrote using the tiny lamps left everyone online divided.

In her post, Shweta wrote, “My worst nightmare came true. This random dude from college ordered diyas from Amazon to MY ADDRESS and ended up doing thisss. My brother caught him and calls it creepy, but part of me is like… wait, was this not sooo romantic?”

The short clip shows the man quietly arranging diyas, completely unaware that he’s being watched. Just as he finishes setting up the glowing message, Shweta’s brother appears. The moment the man notices him, he panics and runs away.

Shweta ended her post still confused about what to make of it all. “Idk if it’s stalker energy or just a sweet boy,” she said and now, the internet can’t stop debating the same thing.

"Bhai ko uskeiraadepatahai. If a guy is truly in love with u, he won't call u patakha, at least in public," a second user wrote. "It felt a little scary... but my heart said 'aww'. Sometimes there's just a thin line between romantic and creepy," wrote a third user.

"It would have been cute, except for the word "pathaka". It sounds cheap. And hence it is creepy and dangerous. If he had a "pure" crush on you, he would have used more honorable language, which would be cute. He surely has put a lot of thought and daring behind it," added a fourth user. "Stop encouraging things like these by calling them romantic or sweet. People do much worse by getting the wrong ideas," added another user.
