Viral Video: Social media has witnessed far too many videos where online delivery agents of different companies were seen taking some of the most questionable decisions. Experiencing something similar, a man in Bengaluru highlighted a similar instance, where a Zomatao delivery boy was seen stealing food, while he was delivering an order. The theft was caught on the CCTV camera that was installed in front of the door, a video of which went viral on social media. As per the viral post, the delivery agent took another package, which was also kept in front of the same door, with him after leaving the Zomatao order.
The incident, as per the CCTV data, unfolded on June 25. Netizens, on the other hand, chastised the man for sharing the video, as it would lead to the agent getting fired. People pointed out that the agent must have stolen the food ‘as a last resort’. While some found the incident troubling. As the video went viral, Zomato also responded to the matter.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘adityakalra’. The post was captioned, “We caught @Zomato delivery theft on our CCTV camera in Bangalore. He delivers the order, spots our other food package at the door, quietly picks it up, and goes away. Shocking indeed.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Not uncommon though… regularly happens with the early morning delivery companies such as BBDaily and MilkBasket as well,” a user said. “Bro, what's wrong with you? No one picks up food for the joy of stealing. Your reporting this has probably led to him getting fired and his identity is also not masked. We as a society can't expect much from companies like @zomato,” added another.
“Was the parcel yours? Then why didn't you pick it up? Why was it there outside?” commented a third person. “I feel so sorry we failed as a society nobody is born a thief it’s so easy to judge. I am not saying stealing is right but it’s just a good I feel we can order extra food and give it to our delivery guys if we can afford it. Spread smiles,” added a fourth user.
