India came out victorious at the World Cup match against Pakistan on October 14 and the country simply lost it with its excitement. From celebrations to festival-like feasts, a whole lot of joy took over the Indian households after the entire country witnessed the Indian national cricket team’s magnificent dominance on the field against their top rivals. Amid all the celebrations, the food delivery apps witnessed the celebrations firsthand after they started receiving orders of food and other items that saw no end. From dishes like biryani and snacks like potato chips to items like condoms, Indians left no stone unturned in celebrating the win for one of the most-awaited matches. Sharing the same with the entire internet community, food delivery app Swiggy started sharing the unexpected amount of orders that it received. 

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. This is the 13th edition of the  ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, where a total of 48 matches will be played. The tournament began on October 05 and will culminate on November 19 and is being hosted by India. So far, India has won 3 matches against Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The country will now lock horns with Bangladesh on October 19. 

Taking to its social media handle, Swiggy pretty much shared some of the most shocking updates over the most ordered food and other items. The X (formerly Twitter) feed of the food delivery app was also flooded with the match updates that were being posted from time to time.

“Over 1 lac cold drinks ordered today, y'all are really rushing for a drinks break,” an X post said. 

“10916 and 8504 units of blue lay's and green lay's were ordered respectively today. of course blue is winning here as well,” added another post. 

“70 biryanis ordered by a household in chandigarh in one-go, seems they already know who's winning,” added a third post. 

“3509 condoms ordered, some players are playing off the pitch today,” said another
