Indian Couple Viral News: Not every dream is about earning more or climbing the career ladder. For one Indian couple, true happiness came from doing the opposite, leaving behind their high-paying jobs in Singapore and starting a simpler life back home. A viral Instagram Reel by Sharmilaa, a virtual assistant, shows what their new life looks like now. Kids laughing and playing in the open, green fields all around, chickens freely roaming, and a peaceful home near the hills, it’s a complete change from the fast-paced city life they once had.

Three years ago, without a big plan or backup, the couple made a powerful choice. They packed up, moved back to India with their little daughter, and decided to build a life filled with time, peace, and family moments. As Sharmilaa shared, "3 years ago, we made a big decision—we left our high-paying jobs, moved back to India, and chose freedom over the hustle. Not a perfect plan… just a quiet decision to prioritize life over work."

Once a design and project engineer with a Master's from Singapore, Sharmilaa was done with long hours and corporate stress. She began working as a virtual assistant from home, hoping to earn something flexible. "I thought I’d earn ₹20K a month doing something flexible as a Virtual Assistant. That was the only goal," she said. But that small step turned into a steady business that brought both income and peace of mind.

Now settled near the hills, the couple works remotely, spends more time as a family, and enjoys simple joys like fresh air, home-grown food, and watching their daughter grow up close to nature.
