Delhi Restaurant Viral Video: It started with a viral clip and ended with a big change outside a Delhi restaurant. In Pitampura, a place called Tubata suddenly found itself at the centre of a storm after a couple accused it of refusing them entry because they were wearing Indian clothes. Now, in a twist, the restaurant’s staff has been seen putting up fresh notices clearly saying, “All types of Indian attire are allowed in the restaurant (saree, suit, etc.).”

The video of the new dress code board, shared by X user 'GharKeKalesh', shows uniformed staff members fixing two signs outside the building, one announcing the attire policy and the other displaying the restaurant’s name in bold red letters.

The incident that sparked it all happened on August 3. The viral video shows a man in a T-shirt claiming that his companion, dressed in a kurta-salwar, was not allowed in. “Inhone kum kapde pehenne walo ko jaane diya ye bolke ki aapke ethnic dress ko hum allow nahi karenge,” he said, alleging that people in shorter outfits were being welcomed inside while they were turned away. The clip spread like wildfire on social media, triggering widespread outrage. Many slammed the restaurant for disrespecting Indian attire.

The matter even reached the Delhi government. Tourism and culture minister Kapil Mishra posted that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had taken serious note of the issue. “A video of a ban on Indian dress at a restaurant in Peetampura has come to light. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a serious note of it. The officers have been directed to launch an investigation and take urgent action (in the matter),” he wrote.
