'Atithi devo bhava', which translates to 'Guest is God', is quite a common belief in India. Time and again, Indians have been seen showing all kinds of love and respect to their guests, including foreign nationals. However, in some instances people have been found to be cashing in by duping the foreigners. A video of such an exploitation has gone viral on the internet. In the viral clip, a Korean man was finned Rs 5,000 by a traffic cop. Luckily, the clip went viral and came to the notice of Delhi Traffic police, that has suspended the corruption-accused cop for not providing a challan to the Korean man.
The video, which is a car dash cam recorded clip, was part of a vlog that was shared by the Korean man. The man, who also has a YouTube channel with the name 'FITVELY', shared details about his trip to India. In one of the videos, he was seen giving a Rs 5,000 fine to a traffic policeman, but did not receive any challan. Titling the clip "Give me all the cash Reasons why you shouldn't drive a car in India", the Korean national shared his experience.

In the viral clip, the tourist can be seen being stopped by a traffic cop. The cop asks him for a fine of Rs 5,000, which was confused by the Korean man with Rs 500. The cop soon cleared the confusion and asked him to give Rs 5,000 in the case. Once the transaction was complete, both the men can be seen shaking hands, meanwhile, the tourist even went ahead and thanked the cop.

Although the incident took place almost a month back, the video is now going viral. Taking cognisance of the cop's actions, the Delhi traffic police suspended him as he did not provide the traffic violator with a challan.
As soon as the clip gained attention, several netizens were left angry over the matter. Some even apologised to the Korean national on his YouTube video and informed him about the cop's suspension.

"Hi, I am from india. Its overwhelming how you got treated at times . Firstly , that police officer has been suspended all thanks to your video. He took a bribe . Secondly , that car rental company definitely duped you with bogus fines and charges. I feel sad about your experience. This is the reason even im thinking of migrating . anyway i wish you well," a user commented.
"As an Indian citizen, Apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. That corrupt police officer has been suspended. No justification can reverse this," wrote another netizen.
