Delhi Woman Viral Video: A woman from Delhi planned a peaceful trip to the beautiful city of Pondicherry, but things took a disturbing turn. In a social media post, she shared how her experience was filled with uncomfortable and scary moments that ruined her getaway.
She spoke about being harassed on the streets, asked for selfies by strangers, and stared at just for wearing short clothes. But the most shocking part came when she claimed that a man followed her to her hotel. Instead of going straight to her room, she went to another floor and confronted him. Even after he left, she waited there for nearly 30 minutes to feel safe. Her story has raised serious concerns about women’s safety in tourist cities.

The viral video was shared on the social media platform Instagram 'stargirl_on_the_go.' The post was captioned, "Pondicherry”, a place I dreamt would bring peace, but it left me shaken. As a woman, I felt unsafe, humiliated, and scared. This isn’t the story I wanted to share, but it’s the one that needs to be heard, LOUD & CLEAR. I’m making this video for every woman out there, so no one else has to go through what my sister and I did."
The video shared one day ago received 279k views from social media users. Many users reacted to the viral video while sharing their own experiences in the comment section. One user wrote, "My niece also has a similar experience. She was alone on the beach, and two men started approaching her and chasing her, and she ran away. She was scared shit." "Welcome, dear...this is India! Women face it everywhere, have seen this most of North India, Mumbai, and Kolkata as well...why just Pondicherry! The correct statement should be, When will men start being mindful and respectful of women, not just in their homes but also outside of their homes," a second user added.
"I live in Pondy and I can agree to it 100%. Some Men here are quite desperate and have no boundary sense, nor do they realise that they are being disgusting," a third user wrote. "This happened to me and my friends. We went to Pondicherry University to attend a seminar. Outside the university, a group of teenage boys came, and 1 of them pulled my hair. I confronted him and he slapped me right across my face. It all happened in the daylight of 4 pm. Though local people came to support us. That incident traumatized us, we went to the police. The next day, we found the same group of boys outside the university gate. We had to travel back to Chennai airport at the crack of dawn to avoid anything else," added another user.
