If you are a true desi and belong to a typical Indian family, then there is hardly a chance of you NOT knowing about the popular medicine Paracetamol. Apart from the ‘centuries-old solution’ that is given by every Indian adult that involves ‘water’ as the remedy of every health-related issue, Paracetamol is the other alternative that is often preferred by desis. Headache, cold, cough, fever- basically, you name it and a typical Indian adult will advise you to pop a Paracetamol with water. All in all, the medicine turned into a household ‘remedy’ in the last few years. With that said, one can only imagine the major drama that unfolded after the news of the same ‘godly’ drug Paracetamol failing a quality test broke out.

For those unaware, the Central Drugs Standards Control Organisation (CDSCO) recently released its August 2024 report, which reportedly declared 53 medicines ‘failed’ over their quality. Reportedly, drugs like Paracetamol, vitamin D3 supplements, calcium supplements, anti-diabetes pills and more ended up under the category of ‘Not of Standard Quality (NSQ Alert)’.

As soon as the news of the same broke out, people were quick to express their concerns. Many were also left disappointed as they called the failure hazardous. However, there was also a section of netizens that rather turned towards the ‘funny’ side of the whole matter, and began to share hilarious memes and jokes of the same.
