Engineering was once one of the most hailed professions in the country. But currently, the earning scope through engineering jobs has become an issue for people as stories of engineers leaving the profession due to less pay are increasing. A similar case surfaced on social media where a woman shared her conversation with a cab driver. The woman shared that her cab driver was an engineer who claimed that his earning from driving was more than what he earned from his corporate job.
The story was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) and is now going viral. The post was shared by user ‘ShwetaKukreja_', with the caption, "I was in a cab yesterday and that driver was an engineer. He said he earns more from the cab driving than his corporate job at Qualcomm."

"Try asking a roadside chai/suttewaala.. He might be probably earning more than the cab driver," a user said. "panipuri wala near my society earns a 3-4 lakhs a month hes just 6th passed he told me..now he has opened another stall in other place," said a second person. "Uski Quality me hi kuch kami hogi (There must be something wrong with his work)," pointed out a third. "Sounds a bit impossible to me. I mean it is sad if it is true," added a fourth. "Woah. Did he tell a number? Looks like part time driver + full time engineer can be quite rewarding as well!" said a fifth. "To the people who think it is impossible, I met a cab driver who left his Tech job because it wasn't paying much," commented a sixth.
