Viral Video: Love is surely one of the most vital emotions that one should express when it comes to healthy parenting, but the same bond can go southwards if that ‘love’ turns into ‘blind love’. Basically, the extreme of anything has never benefited anyone, and this incident going viral is a clear example of the same. A video of a young boy buying an iPhone was shared online, which went viral. The reason behind the virality of an otherwise common purchase was that the boy in question hailed from a poor family, who reportedly stopped eating until his ‘iPhone demand’ was met. Giving in to his bizarre ‘ultimatum’, his mother arranged the money for him to buy an iPhone. The said video showed a man interviewing the duo, which did not sit well with the internet.
As per the clip, the mother was a poor flower-seller who sold flowers outside a temple. From the mother’s helpless look in the video to the boy hardly showing any signs of maturity, the clip ended up triggering many. Most people also chastised the man interviewing the son and mother duo, as he used phrases like ‘power of an iPhone lover’, which only seemingly encouraged the behaviour the boy displayed. The date and the location of the matter could not be confirmed.
The video was shared on social media on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Incognito_qfs’. the post was captioned, “This nithalla boy stopped eating food and was demanding an iPhone from her mother. His mother finally relented and gave him money to buy an iPhone. She sells flowers outside a mandir. Too much love will always destroy children. Parents should know where to draw the line. This is harsh but no parent deserves children like him.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 336K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Shameful!!! Mom should have hit him with slippers instead of money and let him starve. These selfish buggers will not hesitate to sell their own parents for their greed,” a user said. “My Mom would have hit me with slippers. My dad would have forced me to do Jhaadu Pocha of the whole house,” added a second person.
“Feel sorry for the mother, her expression tells it all!” commented a third user. “Shopkeeper also looks stupid who is promoting this,” added another. “Now he will contribute to the real economy as no one is interested in the real economy,” added another. “This is what those stupid influencers who make vlogs and reels on rented vehicles showing off how cool and powerful they look did to those minds who idolise them..Shame,” added another.
