It's safe to say that this year’s Paris Olympics have proved to be one of the most unique ones, keeping in mind the memes, peculiar incidents, global backlash over certain matters and simply some excellent gameplays, that have been making headlines since Day 01 of the Paris Olympics 2024. Among the long list, an athlete who made a spot for himself despite getting no medals, was French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati. He might be going home without a medal but he surely managed to score a whopping offer worth USD 250,000 (over Rs 2 crore), from a porn site. Yes, you read that correctly, and it goes without saying that the credit for getting such an offer at an international event goes to Ammirati's crotch.

The pole vaulter immediately took over the headlines, after he did not qualify for the next round due to the pole falling down after hitting his crotch. The awkward moment was quick to turn into meme material, as people couldn't stop commenting on the incident. The incident that happened on August 03, was hardly out of the talks when it caught the ‘flames’ of trends again- all thanks to the porn offer that no one saw coming.

As per TMZ Sports, Ammirati received the offer from CamSoda, an adult content website. Opening up on the offer, company vice president Daryn Parker did not shy away from lauding the athlete’s ‘talent below the belt’.

“If it was up to me, I’d award Anthony Ammirati for what everyone else saw—talent below the belt. As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course,” Parker was quoted as saying to TMZ Sports. “He can let it all hang out as much as he wants,” he was further quoted as saying.

As per reports, Ammirati has not made any comments on the expensive offer. He did open up about the game though, “I’m a bit gutted because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session. I was 100 per cent physically fit, but I was missing a bit of pole vault,” the French athlete was quoted as saying to the French Athletics Federation.
