Ghibli Viral Blunders: AI-generated art has been making waves on social media, with the Ghibli trend captivating users worldwide. Inspired by Studio Ghibli’s signature animation style, people have been turning their regular photos into soft, dreamy illustrations. While most results have been stunning, some have taken a bizarre and unintentional turn, leaving the internet both amused and creeped out.

One such incident that grabbed everyone's attention involved a Chhath Puja celebration. A user requested an AI-generated Ghibli-style illustration of women performing the ritual, originally captured in a simple yet beautiful image. The women were holding baskets filled with traditional offerings like coconuts and fruits. However, when AI processed the image, it made a strange mistake—turning one of the coconuts into what appeared to be a human head. This eerie transformation quickly went viral, sparking laughter and shock among viewers.

But this isn’t the only time AI has messed up while creating Ghibli-inspired art. A social media user on platform X (formerly Twitter) recently highlighted a peculiar flaw in an AI-generated Ghibli-style image of OpenAI founder and CEO Sam Altman. The mistake? A hand with an incorrect number of fingers. This blunder adds to the growing list of bizarre errors in AI-created illustrations.

Even with these glitches, the Ghibli trend remains popular, proving that AI-generated art is both fascinating and unpredictable. While some errors make for hilarious moments, they also remind us that AI still has a long way to go before it can truly match human creativity.

In another video shared on Instagram, the Ghibli trend’s AI blunders are on full display. One instance shows ChatGPT mistakenly transforming an image of two girls hugging into a boy and a girl. In another case, a group photo with three boys and two girls is altered, with the AI inexplicably changing the girl in the middle into a boy.
