Viral Video: With recent cases of threats against women's safety and security traumatising the country, it's only natural that more and more people are speaking up against anything and everything that can eventually lead to harm against women in any way possible. Exemplifying something similar, a video came forward, where a woman was seen raising her voice against men entering the women’s coach in the train repeatedly. Further in the clip, another passenger was seen shooing away the men sitting in the ladies’ coach, whereas the video ended with the same passenger urging netizens to speak up against such matters. However, the clip that was supposed to make people aware, instead turned into a ‘gender debate’ as a few netizens began to demand a ‘separate coach for men’.
The video drew divided reactions. Some called such issues common and demanded the authorities to take strict action against such offenders, while the rest advocated for the men and spoke on ‘equal rights’.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Ladies Complaining over Males travelling in Ladies Coach.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Very unethical and dangerous, they should not be allowed there and be booked,” a user said. “Yes, it happens sometimes. And the government needs to work on it as soon as possible. These are some things that eventually lead to crime against women,” added a second person.
“If you know that it’s a ladies coach.. then it’s wrong to enter,” wrote a third person. “These are the youth of India.....Don't know where they are using this energy,” added another. “Now Where is their equality? Why does the Railway Ministry not provide separate coaches for Gents? It's time to demand equal rights for males too,” commented another.
