Viral Video: The phrase ‘humanity is rare in humans’ has turned into a sad reality in the past few years and social media is full of content proving the same. Meanwhile animals, on the other hand, have begun to earn their fair share of credit for showing sympathy and love towards their fellow animals. Exemplifying the latter, a video of a gorilla gently checking up on an injured bird went viral online and left the internet melted. Many dubbed the gorilla’s actions more thoughtful than a human, whereas some found the moment ‘bittersweet’ as the wholesome incident took place in a zoo, where the ‘gentle giant’ was in captivity while it sympathised with the tiny bird. 

The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Pubity’. The post was captioned, “Gentle giant.”

The video, after being shared on social media platforms, instantly won many. Most people called the gorilla a ‘gentle giant’, while others called it a rare site and compared the same with humans and their cruelty against animals. Rest opposed the idea of zoos holding animals in captivity. The video was shared a few hours ago and pulled 149K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Brother, you have wings. You do not have to be here,” a user said. “Hi, birdy. It’s okay birdy. I’m gonna take care of you birdy,” added another person. “These are some of the humblest creatures on earth! They have more humanity than any human and for that, they're locked up for our entertainment!” added a third user. “Beautiful moment to watch (although yes it sucks the gorilla is caged up in the first place),” added a fourth person. “Isn’t anyone going to help save the bird? It’s clearly injured,” commented a fifth person. 

“Gorillas should not be kept in cages for human entertainment,” said another. “Never saw a human check up on an injured bird, EVER in my life,” added another.
