Greater Noida Viral Video: Posing multiple questions on Uttar Pradesh’s law and order situation yet again, a video of 10 to 12 men brutally beating up a man in Greater Noida surfaced online. The incident, as per reports, took place in a pharmacy located in Greater Noida West’s Gaur City 2, on March 06. The matter was recorded on the CCTV camera that was installed in the shop, the footage of which went viral on the internet. As soon as the video began to circulate on social media, people were quick to raise questions against the state’s general safety and security. 

As per the reports, an elderly woman brought an empty medicine packet to the pharmacy and asked the shopkeeper for the same medication. Complying to the request, the man gave the elderly a new packet of the same medicine. However, after a while, the elderly lady’s son arrived at the shop and began to accuse the shopkeeper of selling the wrong medicine. The incident soon turned into an argument, which eventually led to the said son calling up multiple people to beat the shopkeeper up. As seen in the video, the assault was then broken up by other co-workers in the shop. 

Reportedly, a case has been registered with the police, where they are trying to identify the miscreants based on the CCTV footage.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Arhant Shelby’. The post was reshared on the handle ‘Ghar ke kalseh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh b/w a Pharmacy Store owner and Customer Guy with his Group over some heated arguments, Noida UP.”

The video, ever since it was shared, has been doing rounds on the internet. Most people criticised the men’s behaviour, while some spoke on the increasing violent incidents in Noida. Many also lauded the woman who tried to save the victim. The post was shared today and got 42K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Why don’t you have a separate handle for Noida ke Kalesh?” a user said. “The lady protected him more than the other guy,” added a second person. “Again Noida. Noida ka to ek kalesh ka series bann jayega (One can make a series out of such incidents in Noida),” added another person. “No fear of law and order and police or jail in India … very upsetting to see people being so aggressive and fighting it out in the streets.. action must be taken against culprits,” commented a fourth netizen. 

“Fully marked to the shop lady. She did her best to protect her co-worker,” added a fifth user. “Noida is the kalesh capital of India,” added a sixth user. “Name is enough for kalesh Noida,” said the seventh person. “That was unfair. Should have been one one-on-one,” joked another. “Private Cooperative Housing Society culture leads to tension on streets,” added a ninth person.
