The brand released a black hoodie with the words' '2008 Global Financial Crisis' written loudly across the front. The sleeves also mention the timeline of the Great Recession, from December 2007 to June 2009. Even with all the controversy around it, the hoodie, priced at $180 (Rs 16,000), has already sold out on the brand’s website.

The design sparked even more discussion when NBA player Robert Dillingham was spotted wearing it. He was born in 2005, making him just three years old during the crisis, which added another layer to the conversation about how different generations view the event.

One user on X even called the design "extreme distressing, hurt and mangled.” Many felt the hoodie turned a painful chapter in history into a fashion statement. "Why is bro wearing a sweatshirt of the 2008 Financial Crisis?" a second user asked.
