With just 2 days left for the India vs Australia match, social media is witnessing a flood of reactions from the fans of both teams. Amid all this, something that is trending for one of the most bizarre reasons, is Australian ace cricketer Mitchell Marsh. However, it's not a recent score that has turned him into a trend but rather a cricket prediction that ended up triggering the desis online. Speaking on a podcast, the cricketer predicted that India would lose to Australia by 385 runs in the WC final. 

With the final match just around the corner, people began to react to it. Taking to the internet, Indian netizens completely flooded social media with their reactions. Some prayed for the prediction to go wrong, while others expressed their trust in the Indian national cricket team. Meanwhile, the rest gave a heated and sarcastic reaction against the prediction.

“This prediction is correct with only change. Just swap the country name,” a user said. 

“Mitchell Marsh's prediction for World Cup final,” added a second person. 

“Mitchell Marsh's Prediction,” said a third. 

“"Australia undefeated; defeating India. Australia 450/2 in the final, India all-out 65"-#mitchellmarsh had predicted the results of the World Cup final during a podcast. He had said #Australia will lift the trophy for the record 6th time by thrashing #India,” added a fourth person. 

“It's time to give lessons to him #mitchellmarsh,” added a fifth netizen. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘boxofficesquare’. The post was captioned, “#MitchellMarsh Predicts. Australia will score 459 Runs and India will be out for 65!! Marshhhhh.”

India is hosting the 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, which will culminate on November 19. With 48 scheduled matches, the tournament is all set to witness its last game- India vs Australia. WC 2023 began on October 05, meanwhile, India has won 9 consecutive games so far. The much-awaited India vs Australia match is scheduled to be played at Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
