Subiksha Subramani, an Indian-origin queer woman based in Canada, shared a reel capturing a deeply emotional and proud moment from her life. In the video, Subiksha shared how her parents stood by her during a traditional grah pravesh pooja held at their new home. A priest had flown in from India to perform the rituals.

During the ceremony, the priest asked Subiksha, “Are you married? Where is your husband?” But before she could even respond, her parents gently and confidently replied, “Our daughter is married to Tina.” Their loving response, given so naturally and without hesitation, became the highlight of the video.
