Instagram Couple’s 19-Minute Viral Video: The internet in Assam has been in complete chaos this week, with one name suddenly everywhere, Dhunu Joni. What started as a few confusing messages online has now exploded into a wave of rumours, debates, and deepfake fears, turning the young Assamese creator into the unexpected centre of a massive controversy. The buzz began when social media users started claiming that an alleged 'private video' featuring Dhunu had surfaced.
Before all this noise, Dhunu was simply known as the "Social Media Queen of Assam." In her early twenties and reportedly from Nalbari, she had built a devoted audience by sharing dance videos, folk performances, cultural content, and short clips in Assamese attire across Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. But as the controversy grew, her accounts suddenly disappeared, leaving people even more confused about what was happening.
The 19-Minute Rumour That Took Over Social Media:
The rumours reportedly began around 28–29 November 2025, when whispers on private messaging groups mentioned a 7-minute clip supposedly filmed in a study-room setting. Within hours, people started talking about a "19-minute full video," even though no confirmed or authenticated version has been found. Despite the lack of proof, blurred images and edited snippets kept circulating, fueling endless theories.

Deepfake Doubts Spread Across Platforms:
As more posts spread, users on X, Telegram, and other platforms exaggerated the matter, calling it one of Assam’s biggest scandals. Meanwhile, some cyber experts who reviewed the circulating clips pointed out possible deepfake signs, unnatural lighting, distorted pixels, and shaky, inconsistent backgrounds, raising doubts about whether the video is real at all.
Claims About The Man Add Another Layer Of Confusion
Another layer of confusion came from claims about the man seen in the clip. Different names and stories began popping up online, including the claim that he was a married schoolteacher and maybe even Dhunu’s former professor. Some posts even said he had been suspended. But when officials from the Assam Education Department and several schools were contacted, they clearly denied all of it. No teacher has been suspended, and no complaints or FIRs have been filed. Authorities called these claims nothing more than unverified social media gossip.
Truth Remains Unclear Amid Viral Panic:
Right now, the truth remains unclear. What’s certain is that a mix of panic, misinformation, and digital guesswork has turned Dhunu Joni into the latest face of India’s growing deepfake and viral MMS scare, a reminder of how fast online rumours can spread, even when nothing has been proven.
