Anamika Bishnoi Shot Dead: In another horrific incident that left the entire country shocked and questioning the law and orders, a husband shot his wife dead using a pistol in Rajasthan’s Phalodi on Sunday, February 25. The poor victim, Anamika Bishnoi, was a popular Instagram influencer, who also went by the name Anni. The CCTV footage of the tragic incident has gone viral online and has left everyone horrified. The husband, named Mahiram Bishnoi, fled the spot soon after committing the crime but was reportedly caught later. However, netizens have been thinking who was Anamika Bishnoi, and why did her story come to such a dark end? Let’s take a look.

Who was Anamika Bishnoi?

The 33-year-old Instagram influencer had more than 1 lakh followers on her social media handle, where she used to dance, travel, and share her daily life-related reels. The young victim reportedly had a son, who was occasionally featured on her Insta lives and reels. Bishnoi also worked at a Nari Collection Center, which was near Phalodi’s Nagpur Road. The woman lived separately from her husband for quite a few years, as per the reports. Meanwhile, the two were reportedly entangled in a dowry-related case as well. 

The incident:

The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera that was installed in Bishnoi’s shop. In the viral CCTV video, the woman was seen sitting on a chair when her husband entered the shop out of nowhere. The two seemed to be arguing at first, soon after which the husband took out a pistol and fired at her, multiple times. The woman was shot in her neck, as seen in the clip, after which she fell unconscious on the same chair. The accused husband then fled the spot. The video was shared on several X (formerly Twitter) handles.

The Accused:

The accused husband, Mahiram Bishnoi, has reportedly been caught by the police, after a 30-hour search. The man was reportedly arrested for the incident.

As soon as the reports of the influencer's death began to float online, her fans began to react to the incident and also extended their condolences. Some recalled her last few Insta lives and posts, where the woman seemed visibly happy living with her reported son.
