IPL Auction 2024: One of the reasons, apart from being a fun game that unites some of the best cricket players from all across the world, possibly, in one team, IPL (Indian Premier League) truly has its own moments. One of the most surprising moments that was created today, December 19, when two Australian players itched history after becoming the highest IPL buys so far. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins crashed all IPL Auction 2024 records after they were bought for Rs 24.75 crore and Rs 20.5 crore by Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
As soon as the bid was done, Indians came running to the internet and flooded social media with their reactions. And yes, you guessed it; most of these reactions were hilarious memes and jokes. The tournament will reportedly begin in March next year.
Taking to the internet, people quickly commented on the record-breaking price at which the Aussie players were auctioned off. Most cracked jokes on the reaction by KKR’s Gautam Gambhir on Starc getting into the team, while others expressed shock over the money spent.
