With its sudden announcement that dropped like a bomb over its rival Twitter, Meta’s recently announced app, Threads, is currently ruling the internet. However, it’s not as surprising considering the fact that the app has already gained more than 30 million users in a single day.

Amid the app making headlines across the globe over its ‘Twitter’s rival status’, India has found an ‘out of the box’ reason to make Threads trend in the country. Apparently, the netizens are guessing all kinds of possible inspirations for the app’s logo, however, it’s the ‘answers’ that are taking centre stage.

From the crispy and juicy Indian snack ‘Jalebi’, to the Tamil and Malayalam language alphabets, Indians are giving their best in coming up with the perfect idea that inspired the Threads logo.

Comparing its twisty look with the circles of the ‘Jalebi’, a user named @devish2, shared the images of the app’s logo and a piece of ‘Jalebi’ with the caption, “Right now, people are opening the Threads app like they are having Jalebi in their breakfast. Same energy.” The post also seemed like a witty response to the heavy number of users it's gaining with every passing hour.

Whereas, another user named @the_shosanna , expressed her observation over the similarity that the logo shared with the Malayalam alphabet. “Is it me or does anyone feel that the logo of the upcoming Threads app appears like the 90-degree clock-wise rotation of the Malayalam letter ത്ര (pronounced as 'thra') rhyming with 'thr' in Thr,” the post’s caption read.

“#Threads' logo looks like a twisted version of Om in Odia,” read another post where user @as_win5 pointed out its similarity with another Indian language's alphabet.
