Japanese Ambassador Viral Post: During his trip to Bihar, Japan’s Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Keiichi Ono, took everyone by surprise with his love for local food. He shared one post from Bihar which is making rounds on social media. On Monday, April 14, he shared a smiling picture of himself relishing Litti Chokha, the state's beloved traditional dish.

Taking to the X (Formerly Twitter), Keiichi wrote, "Namaste, Bihar! Finally had the chance to try the world-famous Litti Chokha – Gajab Swad Ba.” What caught everyone’s attention wasn’t just the dish—but his fun use of Bhojpuri! Netizens were thrilled to see a foreign diplomat enjoying desi flavours and even speaking the local lingo.

The post shared yesterday pulled 256k views from social media users. After being shared, the post received mixed reactions. While many asked him to try more dishes in the state, others appreciated his gesture.

One user wrote, "Also try our famous Mutton delicacy from Champaran Meat House. You won’t be disappointed," "If you are Big-time foody then there is nothing like India. Each and every Indian State has got no delicious food items. Come to our Maharashtra and you will be amazed," a second user added. "Try other delicacies too in my state… especially sweets," a third user added.

"Just like the flavours of Litti Chokha, Bihar has a deep spiritual and cultural relation with Japan, being the land of Lord Buddha, it has long shared a sacred bond with Japan.
