Viral Video: An incident that turned netizens against the Jhansi authorities surfaced online and went viral. The incident in question was an ugly brawl that erupted between a woman vegetable seller and two women police personnel. The clash reportedly took place in front of a police station, while the passersby watched the heated physical exchange unfold. However, what made the incident further questionable, was that one of the officers then used a plastic crate to hit the vegetable seller. A video of the same was shared on social media, which went viral almost immediately.

The fight was eventually intervened by a male police cop, whereas the date and the exact location of the matter could not be confirmed. As the clip went viral, the Jhansi Police also got involved and responded to the brawl. As per reports, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Shubhamsin78’. The post was captioned in Hindi, which roughly translated to, “Jhansi In Anti Corruption a picture of a fight has come to light in front of the police station. Where a female security personnel is seen beating a vegetable seller on the road. Meanwhile, an aware citizen made a video of this fight and made it viral. @jhansipolice.”

“In connection with the matter, a case has been registered at the local police station under relevant sections. Further legal action is being taken,” the response by the Jhansi Police read.

The video was shared yesterday and pulled countless views from people. Most people demanded action against the lady cops and tagged the authorities, while the rest chastised the officers for their behaviour.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take. “@jhansipolice @Uppolice @dgpup @UPGovt Is this the way to behave with a vegetable seller? Why don't you guys treat the MLAs MPs who loot the government money like this?” added a user. “Please take action against these ladies police @dgpup,” commented a second person. “What action did you take on this issue?” asked a third person.

“Police should not do like that. If this is how the people who are supposed to guard us will behave, then what will others do,” added another. “Police are there to protect people, not to beat them! Action should be taken against these ladies police,” added a fifth user. “The way the officer is beating her is disgusting. What if the same is done by that vegetable seller? Officers must take care of such acts,” added another.
