Karnataka Oil Kumar Viral Video: Most people can’t imagine a meal without rice, roti, or vegetables. But in Karnataka, there’s a man who shocks everyone with what he calls 'food', bottles of engine oil. Yes, while others cook meals, he drinks motor oil like it’s water. Meet 'Oil Kumar,' a man from Shivamogga who claims to have lived on nothing but engine oil for over three decades. According to a viral Instagram post, he drinks nearly 7–8 litres of it every single day and pairs it with cups of tea. In a video that’s making the rounds online, locals can be seen offering him normal food but he flatly refuses and instead reaches for a bottle of oil.

Surprisingly, despite this bizarre habit, he insists he has never needed hospital care and has faced no major health problems. Kumar himself believes his survival is only possible because of the “blessings of Lord Ayyappa.” He says without divine grace, living on such a strange and dangerous diet would be impossible.

But doctors strongly disagree. Experts warn that engine oil is highly poisonous and must never be consumed. It contains toxic chemicals, hydrocarbons and heavy metals that can harm the liver, lungs, kidneys and even the brain. Inhaling or swallowing it can even be fatal.
